What was the starting point for collection?
This collection explores the modern obsession with instant gratification, likening it to the fleeting “sugar rush” after indulging in something sweet. Each piece takes the wearer on a journey, reflecting the excitement of the unknown and the tension between short-lived thrills and meaningful self-discovery.
How would you describe your brand aesthetic?
Sensory overload.
What sustainable practices did you incorporate?
In this collection, I used surplus fabric from Rick Owens’s previous season, avoiding waste. For the Mercedes-Benz Prize, I extended my approach by upcycling a vintage bag I found in a charity shop, renewing it while preserving its original charm. This experience has fuelled my desire to explore upcycling further in my future work.
